The Boys' Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) Project 2024 Shortfall

The Boys’ Brigade Share-a-Gift (BBSG) 2024 is making a final and urgent appeal for donations and volunteers as it achieves its most ambitious goal of reaching out to a record 51,185 beneficiaries. Yesterday marked the last day the boys in uniform were on duty at physical collection points at NTUC FairPrice stores. With 49% short of its targets, the project’s donations at this stage are the lowest ever recorded across its 37-year history. Volunteer sign-ups for Daily Deliveries also remain low, with 464 out of 670 registration slots still available.

This year, BBSG aims to support 51,185 beneficiaries, reaching nearly five times more families under the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s ComLink+ programme.

Call for Public Support Through Online Donations and Delivery Sign-Ups

With the project now in its final stretch, BBSG urgently needs online contributions to help it achieve its goals and bring joy to its beneficiaries.

Members of the public who wish to donate may do so via the following digital platforms from now till 31 December 2024: BB PayNow QR Codes which will be displayed in 155 NTUC FairPrice stores and E-collaterals across Singapore, BBSG Campaigns on the Boys
Brigade page on Giving.sg, as well as AXS Stations.

Members of the public with cars may participate in Daily Deliveries from today to 27 December 2024, excluding the eve of and on Public Holidays. There will be three sessions each day at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm (See below).

For those without access to a car, on-foot deliveries will take place on 21 and 22 December 2024 at Lorong 5 Toa Payoh and Jalan Tenteram (Whampoa). This new initiative of on-foot deliveries was introduced as part of BBSG’s efforts to expand its volunteer outreach, allowing more people to contribute to this meaningful cause. Those who are interested may register online.

We invite the public, including families, to sign up and make a real difference by volunteering for door-to-door deliveries to beneficiaries. BBSG’s iconic red food hampers are packed with essentials including rice, beverages, and canned halal food to support the well-being and needs of our beneficiaries.

Aiming to reach out to a record number of beneficiaries this year, BBSG needs your support now more than ever to spread some joy to the underprivileged in our community during this festive season.
