Palawan Hawkers brings Singapore’s heritage flavours – from family recipes dating back to the 1940s to bold modern creations – to a vibrant beachside setting at The Palawan @ Sentosa, with meals starting from S$5.90.

Palawan Hawkers The Palawan @ Sentosa

From a beloved chicken rice recipe passed down since the 1940s and sambal seafood perfected over nearly four decades to smoky satay, BBQ chicken wings, authentic laksa and contemporary comfort food inspired by mala, Japanese gyoza and Indian fusion, Singapore’s diverse culinary traditions come together at Palawan Hawkers.

Opening to the public at 11am on 4 November 2026 at The Palawan @ Sentosa, Palawan Hawkers brings together eight distinctive food-truck concepts in a vibrant beachside setting, adding a new dimension to Sentosa’s diverse dining and leisure offerings. The line-up combines time-honoured local recipes with creative contemporary twists, offering a diverse range of dining options for international visitors, island guests and the resort and attraction community on Sentosa.

Family Recipes and Hawker Craftsmanship

Qing Heritage Hainanese Chicken Rice traces its family roots back to the 1940s, when the founder’s grandfather first began selling chicken rice. Today, Mrs Teo continues the family tradition, using kampung chicken while preserving the family’s signature ginger paste, broth and time-honoured preparation methods. The offering brings the family’s culinary heritage from Dover to a new beachside setting at Palawan Hawkers, The Palawan @ Sentosa.

Boon Tat Street BBQ Seafood centres on founder Mr Goh Choon Hua and a recipe shared by an old friend. Through years of experimentation, particularly with chilli sambal, he developed the signature sauce that remains at the heart of the menu. BBQ stingray, prawns and sotong bring the familiar flavours of sambal seafood, traditionally served on banana leaves, to the food-truck line-up.

Satay Lab adds smoky satay, grilled chicken wings and rich peanut sauce to the line-up. Palawan Beer House, formerly Cluny Toast at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, expands the offering with Sourdough Peanut Butter Toast, Signature Laksa from Nyonyas & Gentlemen at Village Katong Hotel, and Bacon & Egg Pizza created by YOUNGS Restaurant & Bar.

A New Generation of Comfort Food

Alongside these familiar favourites, Fiery Scrambled Egg by Pili Hong is led by a true mala specialist whose roots run deep in Singapore’s dining scene – the brand was established in Singapore more than 10 years ago, bringing over a decade of dedicated expertise to the table. That wealth of experience takes an exciting new form, reimagining the popular scrambled egg rice trend through the lens of authentic Sichuan spice mastery. Soft, creamy eggs meet hearty rice dishes and signature sauces layered with aromatic, numbing heat – creating a delicious contrast between gentle, comforting textures and bold, unforgettable flavour. Diners can explore creative combinations including Fish and Chips Scrambled Egg Rice, an unexpected fusion found nowhere else in Sentosa, alongside familiar favourites such as Nanyang Curry Chicken Rice and Minced Pork Noodles – each dish elevated by the brand’s distinctive, carefully honed mala sauce.

Honōto 焱兎 places gyoza at the centre of its Japanese-inspired menu, offering Sichuanspicy, cheesy-fried and sambal-mayo variations, alongside yakitori and chilled somen. Urban Truck blends traditional Indian spices with modern fusion cooking, featuring cheese-stuffed dishes and spice-infused creations. Creamy Duck Milkshake Bar – a nostalgic favourite for everyone – rounds out the experience with classic old-school waffles featuring exciting new flavours, including the increasingly popular Pistachio Kunafa Waffle, rich, creamy milkshakes, freshly cut fruit and refreshing, vitamin-rich açaí bowls.

Eight Menus to Explore in One Food-Truck Setting

The food-truck format gives each concept its own distinct identity while letting guests choose from a wide range of menus, adding yet another layer to Sentosa’s reputation as a destination where diverse experiences come together in one place. Diners can build a meal around a familiar favourite, add seafood or grilled dishes to share, and finish with a waffle or milkshake – all in one convenient destination.

Adding to its welcoming beachside atmosphere, Palawan Hawkers is also pet-friendly, making it an ideal spot for visitors to enjoy a relaxed meal with their furry companions.

“Singapore’s hawker culture is an important part of our heritage, and through Palawan Hawkers, we hope to showcase our diverse local flavours to visitors from around the world. We also want to offer a more affordable and accessible dining experience without compromising on quality or variety. Beyond serving good hawker fare at reasonable prices, we hope to create a vibrant seaside dining destination for tourists and locals alike, while giving our local food operators a platform to reach an international audience.”
