IMBA Theatre is delighted to announce the Southeast Asia debut of internationally acclaimed Australian artist Cj Hendry with two joyful experiences next month. Flower Market, an immersive installation that drew hours-long queues and overwhelming demand in New York, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and Sydney, will open for its Southeast Asia premiere from 10 to 14 June 2026 (It has been extended to 15 Jun 2026). It will be followed by JuJu World, the world’s first inflatable experience dedicated to Hendry’s beloved JuJu collectible series, opening 20 June to 18 July 2026.

Known for hyperrealistic large-scale drawings and immersive public installations that blend art, spectacle and popular culture, Hendry has built a global following by making art genuinely accessible for everyone. Flower Market is free to the public and JuJu World is a ticketed experience. Both will be housed at IMBA Theatre’s gallery space at Gardens by the Bay.

On this landmark collaboration, Michael Lee, CEO, IMBA, commented, “IMBA Theatre is where curiosity grows. We’re excited to partner with Cj Hendry, whose work embodies everything we believe art and culture can be – bold, playful, and genuinely for everyone. Both Flower Market and JuJu World invite visitors to participate, not just observe; to touch, choose, and take something home. Cj’s installations cross every boundary of language, age and background, and we see real potential to build programming and community experiences around them. We can’t wait to welcome Singapore to these two experiences.”

Teyi Guo, Director, Leisure Events, Singapore Tourism Board, added, “We welcome Cj Hendry’s works to Southeast Asia for the first time. Flower Market and JuJu World are bold and imaginative experiences that add to Singapore’s growing pipeline of world-class events, reinforcing our position as a compelling destination for arts and culture lovers from around the region and beyond. We look forward to seeing both come to life at Gardens by the Bay, inspiring both locals and visitors to discover the joy and creativity that bloom in Singapore.”
Southeast Asia Premiere of ‘Flower Market’

Conceived from the simple, universal joy of flowers, Flower Market transforms IMBA Theatre’s gallery into an exaggerated flower stand, filled with tens of thousands of plush blooms. The fantastical yet familiar experience is a nod to slow living, where visitors are encouraged to browse like a real market, picking up stems and considering combinations to take home.
The Singapore edition will feature over 30 flower varieties, including several designed exclusively for this launch – among them the Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, the striking Raffles’ Pitcher Plant, and the vivid Singapore Ginger Flower.

Entry is free, with pre-registration encouraged. Every visitor’s first flower is complimentary, an invitation to dream up and complete their own bouquet.

World premiere of ‘JuJu World’
Opening 20 June, JuJu World is the world’s first inflatable experience built around JuJu, Hendry’s explosive collectible toy series. This is the first JuJu experience in yellow, a bold visual statement and a new colourway for the series. Limited, large-sized JuJus will be crafted exclusively for Singapore, and will not be available anywhere else once the experience closes on 18 July 2026.

Playful and visually arresting, the experience extends Hendry’s signature approach, transforming the everyday into surreal environments. Together, Flower Market and JuJu World represent the most ambitious presentation of Hendry’s works in Southeast Asia to date.
Artist Cj Hendry said, “Presenting my works in Southeast Asia with IMBA feels incredibly exciting because these activations represent our shared emotion and universal experiences, from curiosity to adolescence and nostalgia. This double bill at IMBA Theatre will spark joy among new audiences in the region, demonstrating that art is meant for everyone. This is something I value enormously in my practice and I hope audiences will treasure during the two limited runs at IMBA Theatre at Gardens by the Bay.”
