For a decade, Academia has consistently provided top-tier tutoring services, instilling confidence and excellence in hundreds of students every year. Our core mission revolves around making learning intuitive, thereby maximising educational outcomes for every learner.

Academia’s team of instructors come from diverse professional and academic backgrounds, and share a unifying thread of energy, engagement, and profound English expertise. They undergo rigorous training in classroom management, our curriculum, and unique in-depth marking style. Tutors must pass our stringent training and attachment programme before they are allowed to teach.

At Academia, our curriculum is a dynamic entity, fully built in-house, and constantly evolving to align with the MOE syllabus and to cater to each batch of students’ specific needs. Our teachers are adept at tailoring lessons to individual students and providing supplementary materials as required.

Our teaching methods are grounded in evidence-based educational approaches, drawing from both local educational practices and strategies refined at prestigious higher educational institutions and liberal arts colleges, led by a former top student and Princeton graduate.

Creating a positive learning environment is paramount to us. We believe in nurturing smart, empowered, and confident individuals. While diligence is essential for academic success, we maintain that learning should never be a chore. Our curriculum topics incorporate students’ interests to foster engagement.

In our belief that a focus on true literacy brings with it actual results, our track record speaks for itself. Academia achieves remarkable results in PSLE English, O-Level English, and A-Level General Paper exams, outperforming national averages. Since the implementation of the new PSLE scoring system, more than 1 in 2 of our students have scored AL1s for their PSLE English. We have an almost 100% rate of A/B for O Level English, and a greater than 70% Distinction rate for the A Level General Paper.

We also support our students beyond examinations. Our tutor roster includes graduates from top local universities, Ivy League institutions, and Oxbridge, bringing with them the experience necessary to offer guidance in DSA applications, scholarship essays, and university interviews.

As educators, we take great pride in the continued success of our students. Each year, we receive messages celebrating exam results and university acceptances. Many graduated students continue to engage with our teachers. We also take a fair number of former students as interns, during their university years.
