Toa Payoh’s new River Crab Playground, a community-driven project involving 2,000 residents, has opened at Lorong 7 Toa Payoh as part of HDB’s estate renewal. Inspired by Singapore’s native Johora singaporensis crab, it features an obstacle course, hammock swing, and otter-themed flooring—designed by a local student. This replaces the old N1 Park playground, joining the iconic Dragon Playground as a unique recreational landmark shaped by public input.
