From the past to the possibilities ahead, Singapore Writers Festival (SWF) 2025 charts the stories of tomorrow in its 28th edition under the theme Shape of Things to Come. Organised by Arts House Group, this year’s edition returns from 7 to 16 November 2025, inviting audiences to dream, question, and reimagine a world that is inclusive, inventive, and deeply human through the lens of literature.
Presenting an eclectic line-up of over 200 programmes featuring more than 300 local and international presenters, SWF 2025 sparks conversations about the future we are shaping – grounded in both lived and imagined experiences. With fresh programmes and curated tracks co-created alongside partners and the local community, the Festival invites audiences of all ages and backgrounds to experience cultural exchange, creative collaboration, and a more profound sense of community. Signature programmes such as SWF Playground, SEA xChange, Youth Fringe, SWF Classroom and SWF In Conjunction return, alongside new Festival tracks SG60 Homage and Sci-Fi Spotlight, offering innovative ways to explore storytelling across genres and disciplines.
Festivalgoers can look forward to some of the world’s most celebrated literary talents as they respond to this year’s theme. The lineup features international headliners R.F. Kuang, Fuchsia Dunlop, Sathnam Sanghera, Victoria Chang, and Raymond Antrobus, who bring their distinctive voices and perspectives to explore what the future might hold. Hao Jingfang (郝景芳) and Ken Liu take centre stage in the Sci-Fi Spotlight, offering visionary stories that imagine worlds yet to come and push the boundaries of the literary imagination. Together, these authors invite audiences to reflect, dream, and engage with the many shapes that literature – and the future – can take.
Dream boldly, question freely, and discover the many shapes of tomorrow at Singapore Writers Festival 2025. Festivalgoers can enjoy 30% Super Early Bird Savings starting from 1 September 2025 to 22 September 2025 or 20% Early Bird Savings beginning on 23 September 2025 to 6 October 2025.
