Bukit Canberra residents welcome ActiveSG’s first nature-integrated obstacle course, alongside family-friendly water play amenities

The highly anticipated Forest Gym and Canberra Cove opened today at the 12-hectare Bukit Canberra integrated sports and community hub, marking another milestone in Sport Singapore’s (SportSG) phased launch of the integrated development. Minister for Health and Adviser to Sembawang GRC Grassroots Organisations, Mr Ong Ye Kung, attended the opening ceremony and participated in a sport obstacle course to inaugurate the new facilities.

First-of-its-Kind Outdoor Obstacle Course

The Forest Gym, ActiveSG’s first outdoor obstacle course set in a natural forest environment, offers fitness enthusiasts an innovative way to challenge themselves physically. The facility features diverse equipment including ‘Log Jump’, ‘Net Crawl’, ‘Traverse Wall’, and ‘Balancing Logs’, designed to provide engaging outdoor exercise options for visitors of varying fitness levels.

Comprehensive Recreation Destination

With the addition of the Forest Gym and Canberra Cove water play area, Bukit Canberra transforms into a comprehensive recreation destination. These new facilities complement the existing amenities, which include Singapore’s largest ActiveSG gym, an indoor sports hall, four swimming pools, a polyclinic, a senior care centre, and a hawker centre, further strengthening Bukit Canberra as a central hub for health, fitness, and community engagement in northern Singapore.
