The SCS 50 Drone Experience is the celebratory finale for the Singapore Computer Society’s 50th Anniversary and the anchor event for the Lifelong Learning Festival 2017, co-organised by the SCS with the Lifelong Learning Council, SkillsFuture Singapore, Infocomm Media Development Authority, and Employment and Employability Institute.
To be held on Saturday, 28 October and open to the public for free, the SCS 50 Drone Experience will feature drone try-out arenas, fun carnival activities, exhibitors’ booths, as well as talks and workshops – all for free – to encourage the learning of digital and new technologies among people of all ages.

Drone Try-Out Arenas
The public will have a chance to pilot drones through obstacles, or test their navigation skills by steering hovercraft drones on the racing track, with guidance and assistance from professional instructors.
Carnival Game Stations
At the three game stations – Drone Fishing, Drone Tossing and Drone Diving – visitors can engage in carnival fun using micro drones to complete specific tasks.
Splash Awards – Drone Challenge
SCS will hold its Splash Awards – an annual national infocomm youth competition – Finals and Awards Ceremony, at the SCS 50 Drone Experience. Participating teams from secondary schools and institutes of higher learning will be coding and navigating the Airblock drone through an obstacle course. The public is welcome to witness the competition and cheer for the participants.
Visitors can visit booths from Epson, EP-Tec Solutions, HP, SIM Global Education and Trusted Sources to check out cool gadgets, get special deals and/or simply have a chat with the exhibitors.
Free Talks and Workshops
Visitors can look forward to an enriching learning experience at the SkillsFuture Showcase, IMDA Workshops and Intel Showcase of Regional Innovation Forum.
Ice-cream, churros, popcorn and kachang putih will be offered free to spice up the festive event.
