The annual National Stamp Collecting Competition aims to promote the study of postage stamps and philatelic materials to learn about Singapore and the world. It is organised by the Singapore Philatelic Museum and supported by the Ministry of Education.

Students use a variety of stamps, philatelic materials and narratives to explore a topic of their choices like nature, culture and technology. The competition allows students to sharpen learning and thinking skills such as language development, writing, research and creativity.

From now until May 2018, Primary 3-6 and Secondary 1-4 students can sign up for hands-on training workshops.

Charge per student: $4
Closing date for entries: 13 July 2018

Winning participants will be awarded trophies and certificates, and their entries displayed at The Plaza, National Library from 15-17 August 2018. Schools can also compete to win the school championship trophy.
