Millennia Kids Challenge is a movement as part of the Millennia Kids Programme launched in October 2013. The programme has expanded from 3 schools last year to 11 schools this year, and has reached out to more than 12,000 students over the last 3 years.
At the carnival, participants can look forward to an action-packed morning with 2 key activities – Parent-Kid Obstacle Challenge that promotes family bonding and knowledge on healthy living, and/or a 9km Community Cycling to show support for a Smoke-Free Singapore.
Through hands-on activities, participants will also pick up new ways to stay healthy through sports and healthy diet and learn its importance in relation to childhood obesity and diabetes awareness, experience the impact of diabetic retinopathy and diabetic neuropathy through the “Feel & Find” game, learn the possible causes of falls in a daily environment and how to prevent them, and how we can exercise active listening within the family.
