Young families will love the atmospheric FUNtARTstic Storyland: Light-Up Edition, where a magical and enchanted forest of clouds, trees and giant mushrooms glow in a starry night. Here, children can create their own stories with a local flavour in a variety of performing and literary arts activities, such as mass storytelling and music jamming. For older residents (who are still children at heart), the “forest” is an inviting lounge area and also perfect for Instagram-worthy shots.

Residents will be able to catch a glimpse of the Family of Merlions, where a large glow-in-the-dark Merlion is surrounded by the smaller merlions, and where they can ink their own messages on them.

One of the highlights of the evening is The Rubbish Prince, an interactive theatrical performance by illuminated puppets up to 3 metres tall. Residents can even try on the puppet costumes made by Nee Soon residents who used recycled materials to create them.
FUNtARTstic Storyland: Light-Up Edition event is part of the annual PAssionArts Festival 2019 – “Our Home, Our HeARTs” which is happening from 6 July – 25 August 2019. The arts festival is aimed at young families and residents across Singapore.
