GUI needs your support to make the Kampung continue.

This Post-Memorial is to close this last chapter with our Kampung Chief, and start the next chapter with the Kampung he has created for all of us.

We are opening up the Kampung – so that you can honour your memories with Chief, interact with the space, and have that space to yourself. There will be 4 different spaces we would be hosting you at.

(Many of our core team members would need this too – as we barely had time to sit down to have that space to ourselves.)

Date: 8 September 2018
Time: 2.00 pm- 5.00 pm
Venue: GUI

Even if you did not get to know Lai Hock personally, but would like to help, you are welcome too :) Come and hear the stories from the community and play a part.

The reality right now is that the Kampung needs money to maintain and operate. GUI has been working extremely hard in the past 4 years ever since we signed the land lease – to make ends meet and maintain the operational costs, while trying to pay off our debts bit by bit. We have been trying to survive, and we need the power of community right now to contribute to make the Kampung work.

We hope to raise as much money as possible as a start. GUI was founded and built with the belief that an important condition of happiness is that the link of man and nature must not be broken. We want GUI to survive – so that more children, families, young people, educators etc can come to experience this connection

As you come into the Kampung that day, you will get to pen down your thoughts on a stone, and lay it at our HeartQuarters, signifying our laying of the foundation to chart the next season. We will have something special for you from our craft unit Touchwood to bring home too – to light up your own life with a reminder from us with love at the Kampung ♥

So come join us on 8 Sep, 2.30pm to 5pm. YOU can make a difference and play a part!

Please help to share with all your family and friends whom you know would want this Kampung to go on. The power of community is needed now more than ever!
