We Bare Bears, the pop culture phenomenon, is ushering in A Beary Merry Christmas from 16 November to 24 December at the malls of Frasers Property Singapore. Be sure to catch the cuddly Bears from the hit Cartoon Network comedy, as they participate in various Christmas-themed activities and spread the holiday spirit island-wide.
The Pawfect Journey
From winning a pair of air tickets to San Francisco (home of We Bare Bears), scoring a limited edition We Bare Bears umbrella, and hanging out with The Bears themselves, shoppers are in for so much fun this Christmas!
As part of this Beary Merry Christmas, an all-new in-app game, The Pawfect Journey, will be rolled out on 26 November. The game is embedded within the new Frasers Experience (FRx) mobile application, and tasks shoppers to help the three bear brothers locate their missing items across the malls of Frasers Property. By matching and scanning in-mall QR codes via FRx, shoppers stand a chance to win a share of over $250,000 worth of prizes, such as Frasers Points, digital gift cards, and retailer vouchers.
To further enhance the experience, a $12,000 Live Quest will be held every Saturday from 1 to 22 December at selected malls, starting at Causeway Point. Participants will be divided into three squads – Team Grizz, Team Pan Pan and Team Ice Bear, with each squad completing tasks together to achieve the ultimate ‘#squadgoals’.
“We are extremely delighted to host We Bare Bears at our malls this Christmas. To spread the love and joy throughout the season’s festivities, we have carefully curated a myriad of activities for families and friends to enjoy at these malls, while tapping on the all-new shopping experience offered by the new FRx mobile application,” said Molly Lim, Senior Vice President, Head of Retail Properties, Frasers Property Singapore.
She added: “The malls of Frasers Property have always been, and will continue to be, thriving activity hubs that connect and engage everyone in the community. By introducing initiatives such as these, we can continue to forge more fulfilling shoppers’ experiences in years to come.”
We Bare Bears Trivia
Debuting in 2015 on Cartoon Network, We Bare Bears is an animated comedy about three brothers trying to fit in and make friends, which can be kind of hard to do when they are bears. They have captured the hearts of many with their attempts to integrate with human society. The three adoptive bear brothers: Grizzly, Pan Pan, and Ice Bear will join the Singapore crowd as they celebrate their first Christmas here!
Grizzly, the oldest of the brothers, is always in charge. Panda is the slightly socially awkward middle child that just needs to stop worrying about how many likes his recent post on Facebook is getting. Lastly, Ice Bear is the youngest and is the master of disguise. The Bears are fairly savvy about the modern world: they’re masters of the selfie, fans of food trucks, and chasers of internet fame.
Tune in to Starhub TV Channel 317 and Singtel TV Channel 226 from Mondays to Fridays at 4pm to catch We Bare Bears on Cartoon Network.
“This will be a great way for Singaporeans to enjoy the year-end festivities,” added Vikram Sharma, VP of Cartoon Network Enterprises, Asia Pacific. “It’s going to be great to see all the smiles on the faces of families visiting the malls, as the bears bring their unique style of Christmas fun to Frasers Property Singapore.”
What’s Christmas without a carnival? At Changi City Point, join in the festive celebrations with the J’Kids Christmas Carnival from 30 November to 16 December. There will be rides, game booths and an inflatable bouncy castle to ramp up the fun factor. For the fitness inclined, Changi City Point will also be conducting a Christmas-themed Mass Zumba & KPOPX Fitness session on 8 December from 6 to 8pm, where shoppers can enjoy a unique work out experience and sweat it out to their favourite Christmas tunes.
Over at Waterway Point, visit the Eco Rope Art Jam Christmas Bazaar for a chance to purchase cool upcycled items as Christmas gifts. These upcycled items are made out of recycled materials from The RopeScape – a first-in-Singapore indoor crochet rope playground for kids held across the malls of Frasers Property during this year’s June holidays.
Lovingly created by members of the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) and dedicated volunteers, these upcycled items were created over the course of 5 months. To celebrate the season for giving, all proceeds from the Eco Rope Art Jam Christmas Bazaar will go towards supporting vocational training courses at the APSN Centre for Adults. The bazaar will be held at Waterway Point’s Event Square at Basement 2 on 1 December from 10am onwards.
Also from 17 to 25 December, shoppers can stock up on last minute Christmas gifts and outfits at Waterway Point’s Christmas Fair.
A Hands-on Christmas
Adding to the festivities, shoppers with a penchant for arts and craft can join in on various Christmas craft workshops held across the malls of Frasers Property.
On 1 and 2 December, with a minimum spending of $100 at Changi City Point, shoppers get to try their hand at making snow globe from scratch. The workshop is limited to the first 80 participants. From 22 to 23 December, shoppers with a minimum spend of $100 may participate in a log cake decoration workshop at the mall and bring the cake home for their Christmas parties.
From 17 to 24 December at The Centrepoint, get into the festive mood at Mrs Claus’ Christmas Market. Admission is free for this one-of-a-kind Christmas market that will showcase products from creative artisans.
‘Tis the Season to be Jolly
Finally, Christmas will not be complete without some carolling! Head down to Waterway Point on 16 December for a Christmas performance by talented students from Edvox Music School from 7.30pm to 8pm.
At Northpoint City, shoppers can enjoy acoustic and carolling performances during lunch and dinner from 26 November to 24 December. On weekdays only, look out for these performances at The Makan Town, Basement 1, South Wing.
It’s beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas this holiday season. With all these and more, there’s something special for everyone at the malls of Frasers Property.
