The Yong Siak Children’s Street Trail is here!

The annual children-only street event takes place on 21 July 2019, Sunday on Yong Siak Street, Tiong Bahru.

Follow the trail around Yong Siak Street for hidden treasures and activities happening throughout the day at participating stores!

Collect a RAINBOW of fun! Join in activities at each store to get stickers as you go!

Plain Vanilla
Rainbow Bingo
Grab your pencil and your magnifying glass as you walk the trail for a bit of Bingo fun! Keep your eyes peeled and spot as many coloured fruits as you can – mark them out on your Bingo sheet and see if you are lucky enough to make a line! Score three lines and win a special prize.
Cost: $1/sheet

Enchanted Rainbow Cookie Workshop
Knead your way to cookie heaven in this easy hands-on workshop! Watch as we teach you how to make your own cookie dough from scratch, and then create your own cookie magic with an array of colourful sprinkles and toppers.
Each participant will take home a box of their own delicious cookies.
Cost: $25/pax (Pre-registration on the day)
Time: 10am / 11:30am / 1pm / 2:30pm / 4pm (30 minute class)

Paper Animals Crafting Station
Together with our friendly origami instructors, fold your own little rainbow-coloured farm animals to life! Give your rabbits googly eyes or dress your frog up in the colourful stickers and accessories that come in each craft pack.

Pin the Horn on the Mystical Creature
Help the unicorn, narwhal and dragon find their horn! Put on our magical blindfold, do a twirl, make our mystical friends whole again and be rewarded with a golden enchanted egg to take home.

Tikam Tikam Makan Makan
We are bringing back our childhood yummy delights!
Your little munchkins will get a chance to mix and match these yummy snacks and you get to share the cone of delish goodness with them (if they let you)!

Up Up and Away!
Everyone loves balloons! More so if we have our talented balloon sculptor to make one just for you!
We will be giving these out to your little ones so they can journey Yong Siak Street like cool little adventurers armed with balloon-y joy!

Wooden Bells Making Workshop
Wouldn’t it be a wonderful opportunity to get your little kiddos make their own bespoke musical instrument? While making their unique wooden bells, perhaps it will unravel their hidden musical talents! The wooden bells that you make will be yours to take home.

Clay Rainbow Painting Workshop
“Someday we’ll find it… The Rainbow Connection… The lovers, the dreamers and me!”
We can’t wait for your little ones to have a chance to create their own rainbow connection! We’ll provide a plethora of colours for them to choose from and they can go forth to create their rainbow masterpiece!

Giant Bubble Wand Workshop
What do kids love more than being outdoors? Bubbles! Your little one will learn how to make their very own giant bubble wand and create giant bubbles with it. Giant Bubble solution will be provided along the trail for your kids to be amused for hours! The giant bubble wand that you make will be yours to take home.

Make Your Own Special Cute Handbag
Stamp, stick, colour and cut to make your own special handbag!
Cost: $5/child

Woods in the Books
Tongue Twister Fun
Spin the wheel and play our tongue twister challenge! Recite a tongue twister 3 times fast without tripping over your own tongue to win a prize.
Cost: FREE
Time: 9.30am – 4.30pm

Fish Pond Catch and Count
Reel in as many fish as you can in 15 minutes! Win an ice pop when you catch 20 or more fish.
Cost: $6/child
Time: 10am – 5pm

Little EcoHero: Rainbow Garland
Be a Little EcoHero and create something new out of reused things! Exercise your creative muscles in all the colours of the rainbow to create a Rainbow Garland out of upcycled materials in this parent-child crafting session.
Cost: $8 for 1 Parent-Child entry

Little EcoHero: Paper Bag Drive
Seeking paper bags looking for new jobs! On 21 July, bring your clean and dry used paper bags to Woods in the Books and we’ll put them to good use! For the Yong Siak Children’s Street Trail only, customers who contribute 1 kg of paper bags (about 30 paper bags) or more will get free entry for 1 parent-child pair to Little EcoHero: Rainbow Garland!
