Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve
The Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (双溪布洛湿地保护区) is a nature reserve in the northwest area of Singapore. It is a 202ha of mangroves, mudflats, ponds and secondary forest. The rich mangrove were once used as a spawning location and nursery by prawn and fish farmers.
Since 2002, Sungei Buloh has been gazetted as a nature reserve as a recognition of the rich biodiversity that it harbours. It is also a member of the East Asia-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) and Singapore’s first ASEAN Heritage Park.
Come visit the rare oasis of natural wonders and tranquility, home to unique plants and animals, as well as a wintering ground for migratory birds.
