Our parenting company, Daekyo is having the 21st Annual Children’s Literature Award. It is their 2nd year holding it globally. In addition, we do have a Facebook website for this event as well. Other details as followed.

The 21st Eye Level Children’s Literature Award 2013

Daekyo Eye Level, the global leader in self-directed learning for children is having the 21st Annual Children’s Literature Award. It is a worldwide event whose aim is to search for a new breed of writers and illustrators that will help promote the joy and love of reading to children all over the world. Online registration will begin on 1st of July to 31st of August in Singapore and all entries must be submitted before 15th of September.

It is an opportunity for all amateurs, professional writers and artists to contribute to the literary community for children. Eye Level Literature Award is looking for stories which caters to children aged 12 and below.

There will be 2 categories:


Each participant can send a maximum of three (3) original works that has not been published nor received an award in any other contest.

The entry must be a 3-4 page narrative on an A-4 size paper and have a consistent margin of 2cm on all sides.

The page number must appear consecutively, that is: 1 of 4, 2 of 4 and so on, on each page. Font should be Arial or Times New Roman and the font size used should be 10.


Each participant can only send one (1) original work that has not been published nor received an award in any other contest.

An entry can be collaborated between a maximum of 2 authors only.

Each participant should submit hand-drawn original drawings or provisionally­­­-bound version (dummy book); digitally rendered illustration is not acceptable.

Original drawings should be 265x340mm or 360x300mm (in terms of 1 page) and book length should around 30 pages in principle.

Enclose original drawings in a portfolio art bag. In case of a 3D art work, submit slide photos and negatives.

  • Global award ceremony will be held in Korea.
  • In case of a participant winning both the local and global competition, both prizes will be awarded to the participant.
  • All participants will receive a souvenir.
