The “Ashes” Siblings Rivalry..

Ashton’s getting a little aggressive with his younger sister Ashlyn these days.  I was wondering what has turned his loving and gentle little boy into a monster towards his sister. The endless screams of the 2 little ones are causing a real headache.

Sometimes I wonder if it will be so much nicer to have only one child.  It would then save me the hassle of handling these conflicts and I could focus on nuturing an all-rounded individual.  I have overlook the fact that this stage will passed and their relationship will eventually developed into a close one. Proper handling of these conflicts will enable them a chance to develop their interpersonal skills such as cooperation and seeing things from another person’s point of view. Instead of nurturing someone who is acdemically incline, now I am taking this opportunity to groom them into more considerate and sensitive individual.

I am still working very hard to be a cool and sensitive mom.  I have been reading books on experts telling us how to deal with siblings rivalry but when anger gets the better side of me, I lost my cool.  I am learning to manage my own anger now as anger feeds itself.  I am working very hard at it so that I can help them manage theirs so that this World War III will stop.
