Teaching Ashton to answer questions…

Date May 6, 2008

Have you ever notice your child always repeats after your last few words whenever you post a question???  Ashton did.  For instance, when I asked him:’ Ashton, do you want breakfast?’ He would go: ‘Want breakfast?’
Just last week, when I spoke to one of his classmate’s mummy, I asked why her son is able to answer her questions so well and she thought me something which is quite useful. She always give her son a choice after posing a question.  So I decide to try it out on Ashton.
The next day, I simply asked:’ Ashton, breakfast for you? Yes or no?’ and he answered:’ yes!’
Till date I am still using it.  For parents whose children does not know how to answer question, maybe you can try.  Thanks to Dillion’s mum for the suggestion.
