The Singapore Book Fair will be held from May 31st (Friday) to June 9th (Sunday) with the theme “Encounters@Reading City”, designed to allow busy city people to meet in the capital, Singapore, through literature. The wonderful activities of Wenchuang and video and audio combine to relive the fun of reading.

There will be nearly 20 new books to be introduced at this book fair. The most popular one is the Chinese version of “Tall Order”, a privileged biography of Wu Zuodong. Wu Zizheng will visit the book fair and talk to the author Bai Shenghui.

This book was translated by senior media person Lin Biao, and the focus publishing was jointly published with the Eight-Party Culture Studio.

Singapore Tour Ambassador Xu Tongmei, Hong Kong writer Liang Wendao, Chinese writer Mao Jian, Chinese entrepreneur Ji Qi, local writer Huang Kaide, You Jin, Malaysian writer Li Tianyi, local illustrator Aguo and Li Xinli, will also hold a sharing meeting or symposium at the book fair, communicate with readers at close range.

In conjunction with the 200th anniversary of Singapore‘s opening, the book fair has launched special programs this year, including cross talks, lectures and guided tours that outline Singapore’s history.

Youlian Book has been exhibiting for 33 years, and Ma Xiaomin, the managing director, said that this year will bring Wenchuang works and Taiwan’s best-selling books to attract the public who are not in the bookstore.

The opening hours of the book fair are from 11am to 10pm and admission is free.
