The Wiggles - Getting Strong You Make Me Feel Like Dancing Pop Goes The Wiggles

The Wiggles is a dynamic band which has been the favourites of pre-schoolers. The group is made up of 4 interesting and cheery “big boys” who enchant the children with their own music and dance.

Looking from the cover, probably what we see is the hip hop images of the foursome but beneath that, there are really well-crafted songs with great, meaningful lyrics and catchy rhythm, which captures the attention of the pre-schoolers. It is a healthy and yet fun series for the family.

The kids and I love it as we waltz and jazz with the music. My son loves to imitate the way Murray (one of the singer) plays the guitar.

We have watched the following new series recently:

  1. You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” whereby they introduce Music and Dance from all times and all over the places. The pre-schoolers can dance along with some music movements like tapping your foot and nodding your head to the movement.
  2. Getting Strong” when songs are related to children’s health and physical development. My daughter especially likes this as it teaches a little on colors, the fives senses, which is what I am currently teaching her.
  3. Pop Goes the Wiggles” with Nursery Rhymes and Songs that the children are very familiar with and can sing along such as “Skip to my Lou“, “Pussy Cat Pussy Cat“, The Farmer in the Dell” etc. The traditional songs that the kids have enjoyed are brought out in a fun and modern way.
