Thinking of leaving my husband temporary or for good
Question from Mom on Facebook PM: I'll like to get advise from other parents. After marriage, I get very dependant on my hubby. But our relationship has become very bad lately and I am very depress. Currently, I am a sahm. Thinking of leaving my husband temporary or for good. But I go no where to go. I got no one to talk to. Is there a place where I can get help?
When i had my 2nd child in yr 2010, 3 mths after i gave birth, for 3 months i was like in depression. I had cold war with my husband (19 yrs together) for 3 mths till i broke down before him n cried. Sometimes our love language just is different n communication fails. I had thoughts of leaving my husband too n all the negatives in my mind. You need to clear your mind n have a good chat. U need time out too as being a SAHM can restrict ur thinking. I broke down in tears asking my husband just before he is leaving for work if we are gonna end up like his grandparents not talking to each other, not staying with each other when we just had our 2nd child. After this air was cleared between myself n hubb, we are connected again like lovers. We have our third child recently. The stress with having 3 can burn us, but we shared this parenthood together and enjoyed the ups n downs together. U need to open up with ur husband n he needs to open up with u to clear the air. Poke ur heads above the clouds, and u can breathe better.
Michelle Liu: Communication is important. There is a need to clarify and talk things out, sometimes you may need a mediator as well to help the both of you understand each other.
I have been married for 8 years, almost divorced like 3 times and in the end we patch back. I do fight with my husband, got depressed as well. at the end of the day, communication is the key to solutions.
You also need some time for yourself, get someone to help to look after your kids, spend time with your hubby again just like what you have done during dating.
Or have some time to yourself for a massage or facial. When you look good, you feel good and confident of yourself too.
The difficulty with married life is that we fall in love with a personality, but must live with a character, isn't it?
Sharon Lavender: Marriage is hard work. We weren't through a marriage workshop & sort out various issues. Can recommend that work shop to you but here's our story http://oaktreebaby.com/category/pare...opic/marriage/
