Where children don hospital scrubs and take on the role of little doctors, responding to different make-believe medical scenario – Doctor for a Day programme is back again in December!
Date: December 7th, Sunday
Time: 3.40 pm (entire programme runs for approximately 90 minutes)
It was the overwhelming response for this programme that sparked the development of the Doctor for a Day app!
So what is the Doctor for a Day app about?
This is Singapore’s first-of-its-kind free edutainment application where a child can earn points, unlock achievements and exchange for real doctor’s toys at the hospital! Furthermore, there are no in-app purchases or pop-up advertisements.
Recommended for children aged 4 to 8, the ‘Doctor for a Day’ app aims to:
- Instil in children the importance of good personal hygiene by washing one’s hands regularly
- Allow the child to learn basic surgical techniques and the terminology from the Operation games – we highly encourage parents to take their child through each operation and guide them.
- Stimulate a child’s visual memory through the memory game
- Train the basic motor skills of a children as they tap and glide their fingers across the screen while they play
The ‘Doctor for a Day’ App is available for download on Android smartphones and tablets (eg. Samsung Galaxy Tab or Sony Xperia Z2) through Google Play Store and iOS tablets (eg. iPad or iPad Mini) through the iTunes App Store.
