Chinatown’s Chinese New Year Celebration is undoubtedly one of Singapore’s largest celebrated festive occasions. The series of celebratory activities held within the Chinese cultural precinct will be celebrating the festival with traditional gaiety and fervor, as Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng Citizens’ Consultative Committee (KA-KS CCC) dress up the streets with Monkey-themed designs and decorations that feature the zodiac animal of the year.

|Street Light-Up||Eu Tong Sen Street, New Bridge Road, and Garden Bridge||The spectacular street light-up will be around for more than a month to create the joyous festive mood for visitors. As the streets of Chinatown don on both traditional and contemporary décor designed by the Singapore University of Technology and Design students, local and foreign visitors can look out for this year’s special mechanic Monkey figurines and even try spotting the 3D ones that hang on the trees lining along the streets.|
