Holidays are here again! Kids just love holiday as it is a good break for them, away from waking up early, doing homework, going for tuition classes, studying for tests and more. However, it can be a headache for parents as they try to plan and find different means to keep their children happy and occupied with activities.

1. Peek-a-boo!

Peek-A-Boo! is a fun and safe indoor playground where kids can enjoy active play in an air-conditioned environment! It makes total sense to enjoy these air conditioned play areas especially with the scorching weather these days.

During this March holidays, Peek-A-Boo! is organizing story-telling sessions that are free for their customers. Each session will be approximately 30 – 40 minutes long. Suitable for children aged 3 and above.

2. National Library Board

go_kids National Library Board has organized various programs that are enriching and fun, especially for kids this March 2010.

These programs include drama performances, workshops, story-telling programs and craft activities at various neighborhood library.

The good news is, these programs are either free for children or that it comes with a small registration fee. Definitely worth the fun and excitement!

3. Quest for Immortality – The World of Ancient Egypt – Explore! Ancient Egypt Workshop

Now is your opportunity to satisfy your child’s curiosity by allowing them to explore the mystery of Ancient Egypt. The National Heritage Board has organized a workshop especially for children aged 7 to 9 years old. Through stories and role-play, they will be introduced to the culture, beliefs, symbols and writing system of ancient Egypt.

The exciting part is, they even get the opportunity to dress up as ancient Egyptians. That’s not all! They get to learn how to create craft mummies too! This fun workshop ends on a high note with a tour of the Quest for Immortality – The World of Ancient Egypt exhibition.

4. Clay Art – Pottery Classes

Aesop’s The Boy Who Cried Wolf provides the perfect setting and characterization for the children to learn that honesty is still the best policy. As they immerse themselves in the roles of the shepherd boy, sheep,wolves, they will also explore ensemble text work and choral recitation with their peers and learn to listen and respond to the narration.

7. Children’s Arts Theatre

Children’s Arts Theatre provides a conducive Chinese-speaking environment for children to learn about Arts. Through a variety of fun and engaging activities planned for the children, children’s interests and passion for the Chinese Language and appreciation for the Chinese culture and traditions are heightened. Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden is Asia’s first children’s garden, a well-known kid’s paradise!
