Ashton’s sick for 6 consecutive days

I haven’t been blogging for days and I haven’t been really sleeping for days too. Ashton is down with high fever for 6 consecutive days. Naturally, both me and my husband were very worried. The doctor advise me to let him take antibiotics but I prefer not. I am anti-antibiotics. I sent him for a blood test and confirm that it wasn’t dengue fever and it wasn’t bacterial attack and it was viral infections. So I stick firmly to my believe and let him recover on his own. It was a tough battle. His high fever occurs whenever he is sleeping so whenever he takes his afternoon nap or sleep at night, I always try to keep a close watch over him, sponge him, change him and feed him with medication.

My in-laws suggested that Ashton sees a chinese physician. Today, I am trying out on the TCM (Traditional chinese medication) for him and I am crossing my fingers and hopes it works so that both me and Ashton can have a good night sleep from today onwards and say goodbye to the nights with paracetamol.

Apart from worrying about Ashton, I felt a sense of guilt to Ashlyn. Haven’t really been spending time with her and also made her stay with my mum over the weekend so that I could take care of Ashton. Fortunately, Ashlyn is a good girl. Though she is jealous of the attention given to her brother but I guess she co-operates.

I am tired but I really have so much to share. I search the net and do some read up and I really learn alot about antibiotics for babies. I really need to sleep early today. I will write about it when I have more time to consolidate my findings.
