The Academy is constantly looking for different creative stimuli for this unique age group. The story of Frankenstein is an intriguing one that may have been written in the 1800s but remains a timeless literary treasure of universal themes. For instance, just like the misunderstood monster, teens may go through life battling with conflicting emotions and a fear of being misunderstood. The workshop encourages students to explore the dramatics of this dark and mysterious classic as well as invites them to draw parallels with the plot and characters. Besides a script, alternative styles of text such as notes, journals and letters will be used as well.
