Mr Thomas T has generously shares with us on how Fengshui plays a part in your child’s development in this article

1 Know the strength of your child’s Day Master Element

There are basically two things that come to parents’ mind when a child is born. How healthy is my child and what will he/she be in the next decades? Like most of the parents, I want my children to be in their most desirable situation in terms of health and academic. So, you may ask “HOW?”

How exactly can geomancy assists in contributing and enhance a child development? Well, the answer is rather simple; know the strength of your child’s Day Master Element.

Let me elaborate a bit on the Day Master Element. There are basically Five Elements that are abstract representations of the cyclic reality of natural energy and the interwoven relationships of all phenomena. Each of these five intangible substances (ie “Water”, “Wood”, “Fire”, “Earth” and “Metal”) has its own particular characteristics. They are related to one another through the Cycle of Birth and the Cycle of Destruction. The constructive order of natural energy is expressed as the Cycle of Birth and the destructive order of natural energy is expressed as the Cycle of Destruction. The Five Elements can be energizing or hostile, depending on their interactions with one another. By analyzing the compatibility and incompatibility of the elements, favourable and unfavourable elements within ones destiny can be determined.

Having a well-balanced set of favourable elements means having support and harmony in your Life while having elements which upset the balance or worsen the imbalance is unfavourable. Upsetting the balance will bring misfortune and degrade the quality of life.

By analyzing your child’s Bazhi (birth date and time), we can derive what is the strength of his/her Day Master Element. The Day Master Element represents the individual, which it belongs to. After which the strength or frailty of the day stem will decide his life story. Therefore, the determinations of whether the Day Master is weak or strong is vital to the assessments of your child’s destiny and luck.

With this information, you will be able to determine what is the favourable elements, colours and, most important, the suitable professions that your child belongs to. Using these information, you can actually guide them to the path to excel in various areas in term of health, academic, career and etc.

2 Energising the Wen Chang (Literacy Star) Position

Wen Chang position is another importance aspect of geomancy. Every parent would want their children to succeed in their studies. In Feng Shui, arranging the Wen Chang (Literacy Star) for studying can indeed help one to achieve results!

Creating the Wen Chang position means creating an area with the positive energy to allow your child to have a peaceful mind to stimulate analytical capabilities and increase the child’s level of concentration thus enhancing the acquiring power of knowledge within oneself.

There are three Wen Chang positions for reference; the House Layout position, Annual position and Individual position. Ideally, all the positions should be seated in the same area but this is difficult to achieve. By finding out the House Layout Wen Chang position would be enough to energizing the position and you can ignore the other two positions which are secondary. You have to engage a professional geomancer to do the task to safely determine this position as it involve the Sitting and Facing direction of your housing unit. You can also activate the individual Wen Chang position by referring to the table below. This position, although not as ideal as the House Layout position, serve as another reference point.

Birth Year (last digit) Wen Chang Position
1 North
2 Northeast
3 East
4 Southeast
5 South
6 Southwest
7 West
8 Southwest
9 West
10 Northwest

From the tabulated chart above, if a child is born in 1990, the numerical position representing it will be 0. Looking at the number 0 in this case, the position of the literary or Wen Chang in Chinese corresponds to the Northwest direction, which means that the child’s desk should ideally be situated in the Northwest direction of the home.

Making use of the Wen Chang position is very simply. Once you have find out your child’s Wen Chang position from the above table, simple place his study desk at that location. All his studies and school works should be carried in that area.

Wen Chang position can be also be applied to Adult enhancement.
