It is always good to pack your bag in advance when you are into your last trimester. These are some of the things that you must include.
For the Baby
- A outfit for her to wear upon discharge from the hospital
- A cotton cellular blanket to wrap her up
- Mittens and botties (you might want to bring 2 - 3 sets in case your baby needs them during the hospital stay.
For the Mummy
- Nightgowns with front opening so that it is easy to breastfeed
- Maternity Bras
- Sanitary pads - the hospital might provide a pack but you might want to bring extra
- Sweater or Jacket as it can be cold in the hospital
- Personal toiletries
- Hair band (to tie up your long hair, if any)
- An outfit to wear when you are discharge
Remember to double check your bag before going to the hospital to ensure that all your essentials are there! I know you can’t wait to see your bundle of joy!
Oh yes! Apart from the bag, most importantly bring a light heart with you. Going through labour is not as scary as describe. Relax and in no time your little one has arrive. ![]()

Something to add.
If you intend to keep the cord blood for storage, remember to bring the kit. Bring extra batteries for your electronic gadgets. Some gynae may prepare Letter of Admittance in advance so remember to pack that in as well.
